Why this book

Every year, about 15 lakh students sit JEE Main and more than 22 lakh sit NEET-UG. Many of them are there because engineering and medicine, with chartered accountancy, are the only doors their families know well. This book exists to widen that view and to make the decision a better-informed one. It maps more than forty routes after Class 12, from design, law and research science to nursing, agriculture, hospitality and teaching. For each, it answers the questions families actually ask: what the student will study, how to get in, what it costs, what it pays after five and ten years, and who it suits.
